TextEdi
FrendSoft TextEdi 1.2 is a freeware that does not reach the utility or quality of the planned SW!
TextEdi is a simple text editor with a special outfit, which contains some original features such as language, culture and coding can be set and saved as available on the PC, so that the program e.g. starts with a specific language setting, regardless of the standard or the current setting on the PC. You can also open multiple instances of TextEdi in parallel. The document doesn't stay formatted, but the display in the editor is, so you can make it more readable or enjoyable, and customize how you see a text document when you open it, and also quickly retune different instances differently to recognize a document more quickly, etc... Can do all known encodings for text files. TextEdi is just an attempt to popularize the colorful design. In the meantime we want to offer simple monochrome program surfaces for other SW, so that it appeals to more people, but also more interchangeable, colorful designs (RichTextEdi).

Starting at Windows XP or higher you should choose the installation that contains .Net3.5, although newer operating systems notice that you need .Net3.5 and install it from the network on request (depending on the PC settings). 3.5 then also installs necessary parts of 2.0 etc. This program already worked with Windows 2000.
For customers - safety and advantage, the installation files were digitally signed! You can be sure that the EXE has not been modified and really comes from FrendSoft! Nevertheless, the new concept of Windows security and most virus scanners is to first block all programs that are not so well known. Just press "continue" in such a case. Downloading the program will make it better known, but with this SW we don't expect high download rates and still recommend it as a useful alternative together with or instead of other text editors. Unfortunately, some small bugs are known, a new version is pending.

There is also a German version. Instead of publishing even more language versions, which we would like to have in principle, for all SW from FrendSoft, we intend to make programs switchable overall during use, not just in terms of background and Design, but also in terms of menu and user language.
Why are we even mentioning such a simple SW like TextEdi? Because we can't offer much at the moment and although there are many text editors out there, this freeware shows the style and design that FrendSoft wants to continue and has also learned from customer experience with the slight plus it offers compared to other editors.

Rich text editor with extras. The extended and complete version should no longer be entirely freeware. The freeware version gets an update because of known bugs and is also extended by backgrounds and designs. Among other things, monochromatic white or black is added for those who don't like it so colourful!
